This has been an exciting year full of new learning, discoveries, and friendships.
All Kindergarten Families are invited to a Year-End Celebration on the last day of school, June 1st from 10:30-11:30am. All kindergarteners will be performing a short presentation that we know you will all enjoy! All family members are welcome.

Shared Reading Focus: Poetry/Different Genres
We have been learning that fiction stories are make believe, non-fiction stories are real and give us facts, and poems have rhythm and can rhyme.
To Review at Home:
- Your child should be able to identify all 26 letters and their sounds
- Please review these double vowel sounds:

This Unit's focus is on using a capital letter at beginning of sentence, spaces, and punctuation to end our sentences.
We have been practicing addition and subtraction problems within 5 and 10.

The kindergarteners have been learning their shapes. They have found shapes all around the classroom and school and they created scenes using their favorite shapes of all colors and sizes.
Ten Black Dots
The kinders have been counting, learning read and print their numbers. They read the book Ten Black Dots by Donald then illustrated what they would do with Ten Black Dots! Take a look....
Ten Apples on Top!
The kinders continue their counting activities each week.
They loved reading Dr. Suess' Ten Apples on Tops (writing as Theo LeSieg).
They created a pattern of 10 apples on top of their own head.
