Common Core Standards and IAR Assessment
In 2015, we had approximately 200 families attend a forum focused on essential information regarding the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and an overview of PARCC, the Illinois state-mandated CCSS assessment. District 105 teachers also led breakout sessions allowing parents to experience the Common Core Standards "in action." Below, you will find links to these grade level sessions.

IAR (Illinois Assessment of Readiness) testing includes all 3rd-8th grade students who participate in the online IAR assessment in both math and English-language arts. This testing will take place during the month of April. It is important to point out that our 3rd-8th grade students will not be testing entire month. Our principals create detailed schedules to stagger testing and maximize instructional blocks with students. Principals and teachers will share testing schedule information for your child and school prior to the start of testing For more information on IAR, please click HERE.
