I hope you are doing well! I am reaching out with information regarding two orchestra camp opportunities. One will be hosted by me at Gurrie, and the other is through Lyons Township High School and will be hosted there. 

Information about the D105 Summer Orchestra Camp can be found HERE. The camp will be 4 days long and take place from August 8th-11th. Registration is by mail and is due by July 15th. I will pass out hard copies of the registration form to interested students next week. 

See below for information from Jan Matthews (LT orchestra director) regarding the LT Orchestra Camp: 

The LT orchestra has an annual summer camp for elementary and junior high students who have at least one year’s worth of playing experience. This year’s camp runs from June 12-16 from 9 AM to 12 PM at LT’s North campus. We have a junior (grade 4-6) and senior (grade 6-8) orchestra, and we work on a short program to present to families and friends at the end of the camp. We refine playing and musical skills, and also play some traditional music which we learn by ear. Cost for the camp is $80 for students who live in district, $130 for out-of-district students.
