Principal's Page
Greetings current and prospective families of Spring Avenue!
I have often said to our students that Spring Avenue has the three key ingredients to an amazing school--great students, great families, and great staff. We are fortunate to have these three key ingredients, but it is not by mere luck that we do; rather, they come from the hard work and dedication from everyone involved. Thank you to all of the members of our school community that contribute to our success!
At Spring Avenue, you will find that the staff not only prepares our students for academic and career success, but also develops positive personal character traits, and fosters a sense of compassion and service to others through our daily learning activities and special events such as community service projects.
As we give our students the tools to make the most of their educations and careers, our commitment to the development of the whole child will empower them to be positive leaders in the future. We are extremely proud of the people that they are now, and the people that they will become!

NWREL 6+1 Trait Writing
The 6+1 Trait Writing framework is a powerful way to learn and use a common language to refer to characteristics of writing as well as create a common vision of what 'good' writing looks like. Teachers and students can use the 6+1 Trait model to pinpoint areas of strength and weakness as they continue to focus on improved writing.
