Axis 360 is a digital media circulation platform for libraries, which provides our GURRIE students and teachers with immediate access to a plethora of literature in print and audio. Through Axis 360, Baker & Taylor provides libraries and their patrons a state-of-the-art system for discovering and using the digital content they want, on the devices they choose.
Students and teachers need to sign into to AXIS 360 using the CLEVER app on their devices.

SUMMER is the perfect time to catch up on your favorite series or check-in with your favorite author.
All students attending Gurrie in the Fall(2023) are expected to have read at least ONE book from the summer read lists provided by the ELA teachers.

BATTLE of the BOOKS 2022
will be epic :)
All students at Gurrie have the opportunity to participate in the Battle of the Books which begins today and will run through March. Students are asked to form 4-6 member teams and read 16 titles among the team. Each team will compete in a Gurrie Battle in mid-February. The top 2 teams will move on to and represent Gurrie in the "BIG" Battle again Park, Pleasantdale, Highlands and McClure.

Gurrie Battle of the Books 2020 was a huge success! WE had the most ever participants with 23 Teams of students all competiting and celebrating reading:)
Thank you to all the amazing readers, coaches(teachers/paraprofessionals), elementary librarians, Principal Hood, parents and the district for supporting the amazing program!
With colder weather on the horizon, that leaves us with more time to settle in with a GOOD Book, which mean we need to update our bookmark collections.
