Gurrie’s PBIS (Positive Behavioral Supports) program kicks off during the first days of each new school year. For those unfamiliar with the program, PBIS establishes our overall expectations for everyone at Gurrie of Being Ready, Respectful, and Safe. It is a way to acknowledge and reward students for their positive behavior and good decisions in school with "Tiger Stripes". Students collect Tiger Stripes throughout the year and then can cash them in toward a variety of rewards/prizes.
In 2020 we moved to an electronic based PBIS rewards system. Students are acknowledged with electronic Tiger Stripes and can then cash those in at our PBIS store here at school.
We would greatly appreciate your help with donations. The kids love this program. Please consider donating gift cards ($5, $10, $15) to any local business or chain kids frequently visit. This is also a way to give back to our community!
Anytime during the school year, donated gift cards can be dropped off at Gurrie’s main office or mailed. Please label “PBIS”.
